We've been making big strides with ReelIQ, and we're excited to share what's new in development. Here's a look at some of the features taking shape.

AI That Works Where You Fish

Here's the thing about fishing apps — you don't always have great cell service where the fish are biting. That's why we built ReelIQ's fish identification to run completely on your phone. No internet needed. No uploading your photos to some server. Snap a picture, and the AI tells you what you caught.

It recognizes 639 species and it's fast. We're especially proud that it works just as well at a remote mountain lake as it does at your local pier.

Log a Catch in Seconds

We've redesigned the catch logging flow to be as quick as possible. Take a photo, and ReelIQ automatically identifies the species, captures the weather, pins your location, and even estimates the weight from the length. You can go from catch to logged in a few taps.

For anglers who fish tournaments or just want to keep honest records, this means less time on your phone and more time with a line in the water.

Smarter Estimates

If you know the length — whether you measured it, used our AR ruler, or just eyeballed it — ReelIQ can estimate the weight based on the species. It's built on real fisheries data covering 120+ game fish, so the numbers are solid. Of course, you can always enter the real weight if you have a scale.

Faster Across the Board

We've also been spending time under the hood making the whole app snappier. Stats load faster, scrolling is smoother, and the AI model preloads when you open the app so identification is ready the moment you need it.
